From our first "pet" Labrador in 1978 (Deshler's
Buster One CD [Buzz]), to our
first "show" dog in 1987 (Am/Can CH
Beavercreek's Blackswamp Joe CD
[Joe]), to our foundation bitch in 1992 (Ambersand's
Midnite Escapade CD, WCX
[Cassie]), to our first litter in 1995, to our first owner-handled
champion in 1997 (Can CH, UKC-CH Red Birch's
Alpine Lace WC) [Heidi, a Cassie
daughter] - the FIRST Labrador in UKC conformation history to win
Best in Multi-Breed Show), to her son, U-GRCH
Red Birch's My Father's Eyes WC
(Conner - the second Labrador in UKC conformation history to achieve
the Grand Champion title and the first
UKC Labrador to win a Top Ten Award of
Excellence), to our first triple-conformation-titled dog in
2003 (Am/Can CH, UKC-GRCH Nyroca's New Beat at
Red Birch [Cady] - the first UKC Labrador to win three
consecutive Top Ten AOE awards), to our
newest young hopefuls who are just getting going, Red Birch Labs has quietly
evolved from a one-pet home to a serious, though small, hobby
kennel. Our Labradors have daily access to 6 fenced acres in which they can run, dig holes, chase field mice, slop through cattails and mud, and PLAY! When they're not in our house, they're kenneled in a heated building with raised wood floors and easy-listening radio music! |
